| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2005 The look I love: dark, almost black body under a nice tan head. Aroma was lightly chocolate, roasted grain, some hops, some coffee. Not very intense. The mouthfeel was light bodied for a porter. A little too much carbonation for my tastes and too watery. The flavor was subtle and pleasant but not robust as a poter should be. Same notes of chocolate and coffee and light hops. Kinz (2205), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2005 Very dark brown, but see through, little head. Aroma had notes of chocolate and some roastiness. Chocolate and roast flavors dominate, emphasis on the roast. Balanced overall, with some nice depth of flavor, without getting cloying or astringent. This is well made, but I just couldn’t get into it for some reason. I think I’m losing my palate for porters. ericnixon (719), Northampton, Massachusetts, USA
