a really nice porter. dark brown pour with a tan head. smells like coffee and chocolate, a nice sweet and malty beer. not bad in the least, certainly something to drink again as well as recommend to anyone who favors the style.

Bottle. Medium brown color with a diminished light brown head. A fairly light porter, but it has a nice malty flavor with a mild toasted element and a touch of sweet chocolate. In any event, a RI beer (my first). Thanks to my friend Tim for bringing this back for me.

Very chocolaty aroma. Nice dark color with a wonderful taste of the malt. SLightly hoppy for the style but overall good.

Eclipse black color. Medium to small sized head. Aroma is chocolate and very roasty coffee. A medium bodied porter. Malts are chocolate and roasted coffee. Hops are grapefruity and spicy. Kind of a give and take balance between the roasty coffee and the hop bitterness. Nice drinkable porter. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This is a fine porter. Thanks Mike C. Dark Brown color somewhere between opaque and translucent small head. Flavor/aroma is carmel, sweet like corn syrup, and somewhat chocolatey, which to me is the perfect blend of a porter. I think they used British Hops to maybe Fuggles or East Kent. Well made and one that I hope will pass this way again soon. Very reminsent of Fuller’s Porter to me.

Finally managed to find a bottle of this elusive stuff. Aroma is dominated by roasted malts with hints of chocolate malts as well. A slight metallic aroma is also present. Transparent mahogany color with twinges of garnet. Small light tan head that is quickly dissipating. Well, this is a pretty hoppy porter. Hoppy bitterness fighting with strong roasted malts in the finish. Start is slightly sweet and has a grainy aroma. Hints of chocolate. A little smoked and roasty. Mouthfeel is perfect. A real porter that is not a stout calling itself a porter.
