Newtons Folly Granny Smith Draft Cider

[Bottle, thanks JK] Pours with nearly no color--looks like pear juice--with an almost non-existent white head. Taste is a little tart, but mainly just an explosion of granny smith apple and a lot of sugar. Drinkable, but way too sweet and certainly well below average.

Thanks to JK for sharing. A clear yellow body with a fizzy mouth feel. Sweet with a generic apple flavor and aroma.

From the Trader Joe’s in Orland Park, IL - Hardly any color to this. It looks much like melted yellow snow except for the narrow ring of fizz around the top. It’s got an aroma of apple skins and tin. Very carbonated and gassy. The flavor presents more apple than the aroma, but not much. More of the skins and metal. The finish is sugar coated tin. They did this on purpose?

Not a big fan. Way to sweet and overly carbonated. I guess for a cider its not bad, but I’ll stick with beer.

was hoping for some authentic cider flavors here. just a little bit of real apple tannins. I want about 1000 times more. As it is it’s not horrible and you can tell there’s something here just not in spades. More earthy and tannic character and about the same aroma as our local Ace cider. a Point for some texture.

not much to it but its not bad. crisp and drinkable. good with whiskey, better with apple jack.
