Commercial Description:
Golden straw in color, with a pronounced nose of Granny Smith apples. The marriage of apples and malt delivers a pleasant refreshing dry finish. Served cold, the taste gives you the feeling of biting into a fresh hand-picked apple.

bouteille, jus de pomme fermenté, cette ale n’est pas une grande bière sans être toutefois un mauvais produit. moins bonne que la kriek du même producteur (qui n’existe plus).

I used to get kegs of this for parties when at school in the Niagara Region. I recently revisited in bottle form. On draught I enjoyed the blend of apples and beer – I thought they managed the balanced ok – it had a great aroma and I found the apple presence notable, but the beer still had an assertive malt base that let you know you were not drinking a cider. In the bottles though, I have found it to be inconsistent, with the balance being affected the most. This is a fine line beer that you need to get right every time. Not for everyone.

Nah. I don't want any apple juice with a hint of beeriness, thanks. But at least it doesn't taste artificial.

Tasted at TFOB. Intense apple aroma. Golden yellow colour, little head. The flavour had a too ovewhelming apple taste.

Surprisingly yummy. Fairly appley in the taste and aroma. Interesting and refreshing. Definitely not a great beer, but tastey.

Got this bottle from joey capps (I believe) at the RBSG2003. Slight amber hue with small white head and minor lacing. Big sour apple aroma but not anything else. The taste did reveal some malty sweetness under the tart fruit, alcohol present during finish. Cider fans may like this one, I just found it lacking any complexity and the taste got old quick.

I will simply quote my friend Alicia on this one: "Green Apple Jolly Rancher". Also, besides smelling fantastic, it had a nice dry finish that added to it's thirst quench-ability! Wonderful.

Clear golden yellow w/ crisp white head. Candied green apple aroma (much like a Jolly Rancher). Mildly syrupy feel. Flavours don't blend well. Lots of malt, some hops, and a strong alcohol presence in the finish. The apple flavour insinuates itself but doesn't really cut through. Also, tends to be cloying.
