750ml bottle (2004) shared with blankboy. Poured a clear gold, slight copper tinge at top of glass - very small head. Aroma was initially quite skunky, then settled to wet grass, harsh raw hops, grain, malt vinegar, slightly sweet maltiness, leaves. Taste was initially light - raspberry, wheat, mild malt, increasing bitterness with warming. Mouthfeel was earthy, metallic and alcoholic - quite astringent, I could swear they used hard water in the brewing. A very harsh bitterness on the finish - perhaps slightly off due to the green bottle?

07.08.05 RBSG Pale amber, minimal head. Slight aroma of feet, sulfur. Not terribly appealing. Thin flavor includes mild vanilla ice cream and gym locker. Other off-fruity hints. Tangerine?? I guess this one didn’t really agree with my taste buds.

2005 RBSG Small frothy white head that disappears immediately. Light brown body Unassertive malty aroma. The flavor had many acetic and sour notes that shouldn’t be in any sort of Bock. Off a bit perhaps??

Sampled at the RBSG ‘05 bottle tasting courtesy of beerhugger: Pours a clear pale copper with a thin whispy off-white head. Aroma is dry, grainy and caramely malty with some lager yeast character. Body starts dry, full, earthy and malty, but not very sweet. Decent eisbock, but could really use some more complexity.

RBSG2005.

RBSG 05 Clear amber color. Aroma and flavor of skunk pee with malt and fruits. The body is medium and the texture liquorous.
