| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2006 bottle: Pours an amber/ copper with a large foamy white head.
Aroma is caramal malty backed by a light hop that gives it a fruit and nut impression.
Flavour is sweet malt grainy flavour with some peppery tones that finishes with too little hop I thought.
An enjoyable ale, though maybe a bit imbalanced in my opinion. A more assertive hop finish would have been appreciated. lowg (123), Scarborough, Ontario, Canada

This one pours dark copper with a short-lived tan head, expected something longer lasting but had pretty good lacing for the size. Aroma was mostly sweet with a hint of bread. Start was sweet yet robust with notes of spice here and there throughout and a nice bitter finish; easy drinking. Good enough for a Ontario-brewed English style ale. The best of the three Niagara Falls Brewing Co. beers I’ve tried. TheJester (726), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

Molasses lingers in the taste, with roasted malt, some sweetness - not too much. Fairly heavily carbonated. Not bad - good with BBQ, not so much for sitting on the dock. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 13, 2006 Bottle from Milwaukee white elephant. Translucent and rosy copper in color with a thick white, off-centered saliva spackle for the head. Aroma partially allures with brandy marinated prunes, butter pecans, brown sugar and rum raisin. Caramelized plum pudding and boozy maple fudge are somewhat distant aromatic hints. Caramel nougat and creamy butterscotch emit elder flavors around the maple nut spread motif on natural wholegrain bread loaves. Dark biscuit sense eventually evolves into bread pudding for sampling at the organic food store. Dusty and semi-spicy peat underbelly imparts a prairie plantation persona while the presence of vanilla and hazelnuts arrives post gestation. Flick of mineral traits and aluminum tin allegories are prompted by a stinging Ringwood staleness. Supportive carbonation leaves a balmy mouth feel. Peat and english toffee nougats with some almond bran flakes prompt the most prominent after-hour performance. DerWeg (781), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
