Aroma is a little faint, mostly malt, but some hops. Crystal evident. Nice, up-front toasty malt flavor, finishes with a slight spicy, hoppy tail. Good balance throughout. Good Special bitter style, although not strong enough for a "strong" ale. BeerRunner (144), San Diego, California, USA
