Commercial Description:
This full-bodied, dark ale, styled after British ales, is more assertive and darker than traditional Canadian ales. A blend of roasted malts from Canada and Great Britain create an brew that's smooth and rich with a subtle darker flavor.

Deep garnet color, with a pure white head. Head is large and dense. Aroma is a little faint, mostly malt, but some hops. Crystal evident. Nice, up-front toasty malt flavor, finishes with a slight spicy, hoppy tail. Good balance throughout. Good Special bitter style, although not strong enough for a "strong" ale.

A flavorful, mildly hoppy and spicy British ale. I'm tasting notes of molasses and spices in here. This is a good English Strong ale.

Toronto Festival of Beer 2000 - Balanced but unexeptional beer. It did prove to be a good beer oasis at a work function recently though.

Niagara's most balanced product. A big bitter that delivers on malt and hops. The alcohol is too high though.

(Bottle) Beautiful copper body with a quick dissipating thin white head. Medium carbonation. Scent of malt, tea and peach. Creamy hop finish. Enjoyable.
