Deep ruby colour. Aroma of malts, caramel, chocolate. Flavour is malty, toffee, smokey. Finishes smooth, with a slight bitterness.

(Bottle) I had this many months ago but had to get it again to give it a fair review. Pours a large, white, quick dissipating head and mahogany body. Malt and caramel aroma. Malt flavour with slight prune and toffee. Very nice!

Malt, caramel, hint of butterscotch and faint chocolate aromas. Ruby, pours a large(short lived) head, nice lace as well. Smoke, almonds, raisins and malt flavours. Well balanced, smooth, a good example of the style. As Oakes suggested, I will cellar a few, to see how it improves.

Malty aroma, some caramel (and maple?) sweetness, roastiness, and a hint of must. Dark reddish amber in color, clear, with a slight head and little visible effervescence. Ever so slightly bottle-conditioned. Flavor is very malty, with some sweet toasty breadiness, toffee, and some very light coffee and cocoa. Finish has a bit of lightly bitter hoppiness, then is again dominated by the malt. Light to medium bodied and a relatively thin mouthfeel.
