bottle. At least not as watery as its pale lager, but it still tastes really thin and slightly watery for a pale ale. This looks good, smells good but doesn’t taste as good as it somehow should. Amber colour, thin white head. Starts sweet and then gets kind of fizzy and thin. Better pale ales out there for sure. Improves when nice & cold. Nothing special from this brewery yet.

Purchased Pale Ale, Millstone and Gritstone at LCBO on sale. Pours a nice amber with a small head that struggles to survive, pretty good lacing though, aroma was quite sweet. Taste started off really well, a great malty start, but after that I find that it doesn’t really go anywhere. Finish was a tad weak. Still, a pretty good Pale.

Great amber color. Flavor appears to be a balance of hops and yeast. Much like other recipes from this brewery, has a destinctive flavor and feel.

Bottle at the Winking Judge’s fall BeerFest 2005. Pours a clear dark golden-orange with an average size white head. Aroma and flavour primarily of sweet malt with light hops and grain. I found it a little too sweet, it could use a little more hops to balance it out better. A decent Ale.

Bottle (341ml). At October 2005 Winking Judge BeerFest, Hamilton. Poured clear full golden-amber with a bubbly small white head. Aroma of grains, sour malt, some corn, stale hops - a bit sweet. Taste is honey-sweet malt, some straw/hay grain - quite clean and free of adjuncts and nastiness. Mouthfeel fizzy and a bit thin. Tastes decent, quite quenching, nic Canadian non-macro brew.

Bottle. Wheaty aroma. Straw coloured with a thin white head. Straw, wheat, grass hit me in the mouth. Smooth beer, slight carbonation and a nice bite on the back of the tongue to finish this off.
