Commercial Description:
Niagara Honey Brown is brewed with well-balanced hops that give it a light bitterness. The beer is then aged to achieve roundness and to create a pleasant, smooth finish. A touch of honey gives this beer a subtle sweetness. Niagara Honey Brown goes great with spicy foods, pizza, and steak.

Really sweet. But maybe not really from the honey additive. Malt undertones of cookie, straw and chocolate - an odd coupling perhaps. Lightly hopped. Could have used more head retention. For an ale, could also have had more fruitiness and aroma. Not sure exactly what the title is all about as it doesn’t really fit a wheat beer.

Almost clear light amber wiuth a short white sudsy head. Nose of slight maple and light toasted malts. No maple in the palate/flavour besides an oddly sweet flavour. Mr_kimchee calls it "gay-ple". I would tend to agree. Other than that its not all that brown and the flavours are pretty dull. Slight tinge of hops and a smattering of earth with traces of caramel. Wheat... Citrus... where are you?

Bottle at My Cousin Vinny’s restaurant in Niagara Falls, Canada. Medium sized off-white fizzy head that was mostly lasting, fine-small sized bubbles, transparent, carbonated, and a yellow gold hue. Aroma was malty and hoppy and a malty flavor. Mouthfeel was smooth. Light body.

TFOB honey tri-fecta. Best of the bunch it was agreed. Dark yellow pour. Big white head - looks quite nice. Nice honey and light malt aroma - I liked it. Taste is clean but bland with only a touch of honey and malt (hardly a brown ale I would say). Maple? Wheat? No. Just a decent little slightly sweet ale.

Draught sample at TFOB 2005. I had this right after the Wellington and Labatt honey lagers, and this was the best of the bunch. Not that the competition was very fierce, mind you. Pours a nice orange-gold with a small head. Aroma is quite sweet and malty, although the sweetness reminded me more of sweet & sour sauce than honey. Flavour is clean, very well made, but also unexciting. Finish is fairly dry. Not bad.

May 2007. Draft at CW Spring Festival. amber body with a small white head and lacing. Industrial grainy aroma is a touch strange. Lightly astringent note to the grain flavours. 5/3/4/3/10 - 2.5 <P>August 2005. Orangey body, small off white head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavour is subdued malt, slight bitterness. Average palate. Inoffensive but doesn’t make much of an impression. 5/3/5/3/10 - 2.6

Very nice mouthfeel, taste good, drinkable. Sweet. Brownish colour. I’ll have it again.
