Dec 13, 2009 Draught @ Volo: Pours like a flat cola, dark brown caramel colour, iffy and quick to leave white head. Aroma is heavy on molasses, quite sweet, not much else. Extremely harsh to sip with carbonation, almost painful. Quite bland and not much in the way of hopping. Like a watery soda pop.

Nov 25, 2009 On tap at Niagara’s Best. Pours a clear almost cola brown with a thin white head. Caramel, light plum. Slightly oxidized and bitter plum and caramel. Finishes up with a slow bitterness.

Oct 31, 2009 [2511-20091002] Tap. Toasted bread and very mild smoke aroma. Hazy, dark brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Dry toast malt grains flavour has mild fruit generic characteristics. Medium body. A little charred but interesting.

Oct 29, 2009 On tap at C’est What Fall Festival. Pours a dark brown with moderate tan head. Roasty nose with some fruit. Flavour is very roasty with fruity sweetness. Slightly bitter finish; medium body. Good, not great.

Oct 27, 2009 Draught at C’est What’s ’Fall Festival of Craft Breweries’. Pours brown with a small creamy tan head. Mild, dry aroma of lightly roasted malt and nuts. Flavour’s malty along with nuts, a hint of wood and some hops in the finish. Average bodied. Pretty good.

Oct 26, 2009 Draught. At 2009 C’est What Fall festival. Very dark cloudy brick-red pour with an average creamy off-white head. Not much aroma at all, very mild - generic roastiness and some earthiness. The character showed in the taste though - dry, wooody, with nutshell bitterness, hardly any alcohol presence. Average body, undercarbonated, with a surprisingly long dry leafy finish - pretty nice.

Oct 17, 2009 On tap C’est What. Dark brown with a very creamy thick white head - looked like nitro to be honest (but it was not). Aroma was pretty muted - some dry roast malt. Taste s not bad - creamy dark malt, hint of roast, edge of sourness, light bitterness. There is some flavour here, but that malt mix and that sour edge did not do a lot for me. Not bad.

Appearance: mid hazed brown with medium sized white top. Decently presented contrast. 3-
Nose: mild nose , slight roast noted , hint of smoke as well , dark side felt. 6-
Flavor/Palate : fruity , sour with slight roasted brown malt on side. Not prefect but decently drinkable ale.
