Pours a great, clear, nutty brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is softly sweet, a touch of yeasty cardboard, nice caramel and some subdued, well-balanced honey. Okay mouthfeel, quite high in carbonation. Flavour is lightly dry, some clear, sweet honey notes and a good, staying tone of dark chocolate. This was clearly my go to beer during the night at the brewpub. MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Jul 31, 2008 (bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a big and dense light-beige foamy head. Sweet malty and flowery hoppy aroma with lemon and a touch of honey and draff. Sweet-bitter flavour with a tinge of sourness; medium bodied with a well-carbonated and matured mouthfeel. Distinctive notes of honey on a malty base with burnt elements (caramel); moderately dry and bitter finish with floral and slightly herbal hops and notes of honey in the aftertaste (24.05.08). Miksu (1291), Jyväskylä, Finland Jul 20, 2008 0.5 l bottle. Amber color. Strong sweet flowery and perfumed honey aroma with nutty and berryish notes as well. Sweetish flavor with flowery honey, nuts, caramel, berries, some tartness and some warming alcohol. Strong honey aroma and flavor. Pleasant and drinkable.
