Commercial Description:
Editor’s note: First batches of this beer were brewed at Bryggen, Thisted.

English: A reddish golden ale with added honey and Amarillo hops. It is a round and mild beer, in spite of the rather high alcohol percentage, with a sweet palate from the honey. To balance out the sweetness with a freshness, light malts and a little bit of colour malts was used. There is a subtle bitterness from the First Gold hops and the flavor is spices with orange notes from the Amarillo hops. Thetis is well suited to be enjoyed on its own or with deserts and cakes.

Tap @ the brewpub, Nibe.
Pours a great, clear, nutty brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is softly sweet, a touch of yeasty cardboard, nice caramel and some subdued, well-balanced honey. Okay mouthfeel, quite high in carbonation. Flavour is lightly dry, some clear, sweet honey notes and a good, staying tone of dark chocolate. This was clearly my go to beer during the night at the brewpub.

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a big and dense light-beige foamy head. Sweet malty and flowery hoppy aroma with lemon and a touch of honey and draff. Sweet-bitter flavour with a tinge of sourness; medium bodied with a well-carbonated and matured mouthfeel. Distinctive notes of honey on a malty base with burnt elements (caramel); moderately dry and bitter finish with floral and slightly herbal hops and notes of honey in the aftertaste (24.05.08).
