Nose is of booze and drk fruits.
Taste i same as nose, boozy, raisins, plums, dates, too carbonated, flavors are a little flat.

Oct 1, 2009 Pours a dark cloudy brown with off white head. Aroma of spice, malt, dark fruit, booze. Very complex aroma, can’t completely wrap my head around it. Similar taste, very warming. enjoyed this one.

Sep 29, 2009 750 bottle-2005 vintage- Very mellow, you don’t taste the 10% alcohol, a very nice spicy flavor. This is a decent Christmas ale, but overall an inferior strong Belgian beer.

Sep 28, 2009 750ml bottle, Bacchus, Ncl. Again, rated after a beer fest session, but this was melow and warming, rich yet far too easy to drink and at 10%, a wee bit dangerous. Served in the correct glass too, which is always a bonus. One to savour and re-rate when I’ve consumed a bit less, I reckon

Sep 27, 2009 750 ml bottle. 2005 vintage. Aroma is of old malt, some spices. Looks like a mudpuddle in my glass with a thin head. Tastes of raisins; very Belgian aftertaste. Tastes old.

Sep 12, 2009 2007 bottle from Greens Liquor stoe off Ponce De Leon. Nice dark brown body with a nice fluffy head. Looks like a great Belgian Ale. Dark fruit aroma...big time. Fairly aromatic. Nice fruit malty aroma. Nice dark fruit aroma. Very much in your face with the dark fruit aroma. Nice crisp grap dark fruit aroma. Nice fresh dark fruit taste. Not extremely creamy. Nice overly creamy, but the "spices" aren’t very apparent. Nice dark fruit beer, with some great qualities, but not the most amazing Belgian Strong.

Sep 11, 2009 (bottle) pours a murky dark brown colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of herbal hops, lightly toasted malts, dark fruits, a few hints of powdered sugar and roses. flavour is quite nondescript, with light notes of alcohol and fruit. heavy body with medium carbonation and a warming finish. quite disappointing.

Aug 31, 2009 Bottle. Dark and poured with a big head.Sweet and full bodied with a strong presence of alcohol.Low carbonation and some maltiness.Powerful and impressive.
