Quite sweet and intially very heavy tasting brew, I really liked this beer but found that it could be a tad tiring after a while, nice sticky fruits, very warming, and excellent for the winter. mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA

Pleasant, although light, aroma of orange zest, a bit of raisin, just a hint of alcohol, and an earthy/spicy overtone. Flavor is much richer and maltier than expected. A bit of creamy milk chocolate right up front that leads into raisin and candied plum notes, as well as just a hint of blackberries. Just enough earthy spices throughout, and a very nice undertone of orange juice/zest and dark candy sugar make a fairly strong appearance towards the finish. Palate is full, creamy, a bit spicy, and just a little alcoholic. Well balanced and unique, kind of reminds me of fantome de noel, only much better. Snojerk321 (1937), San Diego, California, USA

Pours a very deep chocolate brown, Light lacing. Nose of dried dark fruits, such as plums, raisens.....maybe fig? As the beer sat it picked up more intense flavors of peach, apricot and some hops. corby112 (700), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma consists of hints of maltiness, spices and thyme with citrus undertones. Very cmplex taste consisting of plum and dark berries, chocolate malt, sugar cane, balanced out by a nice spiciness and slightly dry hopped finish. Very tasty.
