Mar 28, 2009 Nice, dark carmel color with tan head. Lot’s of banana and malt aroma. Very engaging flavor. Sweets malt and dry hops. Simple, but full and smooth. Has series overtones of rootbeer and old time ginger flavor hard candy.

Mar 21, 2009 Pours a hazy reddish brown with a nice tan coloured head. Aroma is of plums, raisins, citrus (specificially oranges) bubble gum, fruit punch, spice, yeast, and a little chocolate. Tastes very bright and fresh for a dunkle beer. Tastes like plums, oranges and fruit punch with spices. The best part of this beer is the fantastic mouthfeel. Fantastic beer!

Mar 20, 2009 Bottle. Fruity aroma. Beautiful reddish brown body with large beige head. Flavor is mild, fruity, malt. Finish is somewhat sweet. A pleasant but not overly remarkable beer.

Mar 17, 2009 Enjoyable, no longer remarkable. A Belgian strong with a hint of orange peel and some sweet spicing. I really do want more intensity and more complexity in a strong beer, not just a quick alcohol slam.

Mar 11, 2009 On tap at Tyler’s. Brown mostly clear pour with off white small head. Sweet malts, dark fruit notes, brown sugar, and maybe a hint of cinnamon. Sweet but complex. Very drinkable and quite good.

Mar 8, 2009 Very sweet, rich, caramel and brown sugar, dark fruits. Extremely spicy as well. A bit over the top, really, though reasonably nice.

Feb 28, 2009 Dark brown in colour with a long lasting beige head, excellent lacing. The aroma is vinous, malty, some plums, apples and spices. The flavour is spicy, noticeable alcohol, very plummy, some bubblegum, yeast, light citrus. Sweet mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes long, warming and fruity.
The plums really come out more as this warms up but so does the alcohol. This is good but at this points its not getting any better.

Feb 22, 2009 Bottle, 2007 vintage. Aroma is of cinnamon, gingerbread and dark fruits. Flavors are malty, with a little more ginger snap cookie. The alcohol is hidden very well. Good Christmas strong ale.
