The body was murky with a brown hue. The nose was malty, somewhat hoppy, sweet and fruit notes (orange?). The flavor was malty, spicy and alcohol. The mouthfeel was a little tingly and smooth. This was a medium bodied beer that had fair lacing. TheBeerGod (3177), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2003 2003 vintage. Pours a dark brown with splashes of ruby. Small tan head. Nose is watery cocoa, spice, yeast, and hints of malt. The taste is comprised of fruit, more spice(nutmeg and coriander?), dark chocolate, and perhaps anise. Very carbonated mouthfeel and has that "sharp" feeling associated with it. It finishes decently enough with little bitterness. Pretty good beer! RichardGretton (3165), Leicestershire, England
