Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- my bottle. Pours a hazy reddish-brown with a good size off-white head. Sweet, sugary aroma of malt, spices and alcohol. Complex flavour of sweet malt, spices, alcohol, brown sugar, citrus and herbs (thyme and the like). Full bodied. Wow, this is a great beer and a pleasant surprise -- fantastic!

75 cL bottle from www.belgianshop.com. Pours mahagony with minute bubbles quickly rising to greet a rocky tan head; creamy lined lacing. Yeast (earthy, cobwebs) and oak, caramel malt aroma, alcohol notes and wheay dough. Sweet candied caramel, maple malt like brown sugar melting on your tongue flavor, medium bitter and acidity, spicy apple hop notes. Medium warm body with a fizzy, spicy dry finish.

Pours a slight hazy brownish amber with an average fluffy off white lacing head. Aroma is spicy, orange, a little metallic, peach pie, nice and fruity. Flavor of spicy yeast, orange, a little roasty malts. Alcohol was non-detect.

Lovely smell of brown sugar and dried fruit. Sweet and sour, well balanced, warming. Very Belgian in the best sense of the word.

Tap @ Blind Tiger. Almost red in color with hardly a head (6 oz serving). Aroma is fruity, malty and sweet. Taste is some dried fruits, cinamon & pepper and malt. Not too sweet, balanced and medium bodied. Interesting and complex.

Bottle '02. This beer formed a small sized head with fine sized bubbles. The body was murky with a brown hue. The nose was malty, somewhat hoppy, sweet and fruit notes (orange?). The flavor was malty, spicy and alcohol. The mouthfeel was a little tingly and smooth. This was a medium bodied beer that had fair lacing.

2003 vintage. Pours a dark brown with splashes of ruby. Small tan head. Nose is watery cocoa, spice, yeast, and hints of malt. The taste is comprised of fruit, more spice(nutmeg and coriander?), dark chocolate, and perhaps anise. Very carbonated mouthfeel and has that "sharp" feeling associated with it. It finishes decently enough with little bitterness. Pretty good beer!

Browny orange beer with a hefty head. A very vineous aroma and a very vineeous flavour with a bitter dry tinge. A good beer overall.
