I’m a big fan of Brasserie Chouffe beers, but the winter seasonal may be the best. Brownish red with major froth, this one is very complex with candied malts leading the way for a rich bouquet of spice, yeast, and mild fruits. A superb beer that I always enjoy. ryan (1780), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2005 From a bottle shared by Kevin. Cloudy brown body with medium-bubbled tan head. Sweet ’n spicy aroma - chocolate milk, cardomon, peach, and a bunch of other stuff I can’t identify. Very complex. Dry, lightly fizzy mouthfeel. The flavor keeps up the interesting spicy sweetness combo with milk chocolate, lightl roast coffee beans, and strawberry finishing with peppery alcohol. Bit too much alcohol in the finish for me but otherwise a fine beer. daniele (1734), Italy
