Mar 17, 2006 Bottled. Deep Brown color with a reddish hue. Big tan head. The aroma reminds me of a Whole Foods store, kindda a mix of teas and spices and produce and incense. Strange spicy flavor mixed with some sweet dark fruits. A little hot. Very bubbly.

Mar 27, 2003 2002 Version shared big bottle. Very nice beer. This started out with a faint friuty taste. Couldn't taste the alcohol. It was hidden very well.

May 30, 2009 750ml bottle: Rusty brown pour with a pillowy head that settles into a long lasting ring. Moderate lacing. Very nice plum and caramel aroma. The body is thick, chewy but very drinkable. Lots of buttery sugar, light cocoa, dark fruits, candied fruits. Yum.

Jan 16, 2007 Cloudy brown with a thick off-white head. Raisins, grapes, and spice make up the aroma. Light but creamy mouthfeel. Sweet wine, banana, spice, and caramel malt dominate the palate. Orange peel, hops, and alcohol bring up the rear and stay with you. Good balance, good beer.

Mar 4, 2007 2004 bottle courtesy of Tim (IPFreely): Muddy brown with a medium sized off-white head. Rich fruity aroma full of brown sugar and toffee. A full bodied ale with big sweet malts. Hints of cinnamon and orange peels are present in the finish.

Apr 20, 2009 750ml green bottle Best befroe date - 08/07/2011. Red brown pour, small soapy tan head. A bit murky, floaties. Malty nose, sweetish, toffee, caramel, hint of juicy fruit gum and spice. Malty flavour, caramel, citrus/orange notes, yeasty finish, dryish, mild alcohol notes and spiciness. Medium body, tingly carboantion. Another good Chouffe beer.

Nov 24, 2007 Fad. Flot sort øl med en lille smule skum. GOd juleøl med den klassiske belgiske måde at gribe det an på, men desværre manglede der en del i mundfylden som var mærkelig tynd. Dette betyder at alkoholen træder lidt mere frem end normalt, hvilket trækker en kende ned. Ellers lækker øl.
