Flavors were that of a classic dark belgian w/traces of molasis, cane sugar, toffee, & dark fruit, but it also had a floral hop presence & traces of yeast & spice. This was a good winter warming beer on a chilly night w/a cigar. Somewhat complex w/a long spicy finish. screwball (796), Motala, Sweden

Poured a good lookin’ dark ruby colour with a lively foamy beige head. Aroma was fruity with spice/herb notes. Interesting flavour with more different spices, caramel malt, thyme, curacao, licorice and quite a boozy kick. Pretty full bodied and creamy mouthfeel. Warming finish. An enjoyable one to share. hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA

I could see some plum or maybe dates in the taste, and other fruits, some spices as well. The palate was nice, soft but rich. vanvenlo (794), Glen Iris, Australia

A wonderful winter beer that is a delight to enjoy over an hour. Had it in late May outside, though it was only about 50 degrees so I guess it felt like Winter enough. Alcohol is very present, though it is pleasant and easy to drink. Very fruity and wonderful. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA

Pours with lively carbonation and a pillowy head; spicy orange-citrusy nose, yeasty and musty notes; sweet, fruity front end with molassas/brown sugar, cola, and dark fruits (dates and raisins); I’m not catching any of the thyme in this; thinning hot alcoholic tinge, tingly carbonation, curacao bitters, and dryish finishing palate seem to balance the potentially cloying sweetness and cut the syrupy body; my hangover is now officially gone after drinking this.
