Jun 20, 2002 I really enjoyed this. Big malty flavor with hints of vanilla and caramel. Very smooth long finish. Probably my favorite winter beer.

Dec 2, 2007 Updated: Oct 17, 2008Bottle(2006) from Whole Foods. Dark maroon color upon pouring. Sweet dark fruity aroma. Some raisin and fig. Fruity sweet flavor. Some yeastiness. Some roasted malty goodness as well. Good quality winter brew. Alcohol is only slightly noticeable.

Apr 5, 2005 Bottle at O’Briens. Thanks to whomever was responsible for this. Caramel, sweet vinous aroma. Quite vinous. Nice. <pun> Hazy amber color with yellowish small head. Sweet, creamy, milky to start. Sweet sugar notes with mild bitterness then takes over. Very nice and easy-drinking.

Nov 20, 2003 2003. Dark plum with a full, lacing head. The aroma is fruity, malty and alcoholic. Orange, cherry, alcohol, caramel, varied spices and candi sugar. A nice, full mouthfeel. The flavor is fairly strong with fruit, alcohol and spice (in that order) taking over. Who brews beer with Thyme? Probably a lot of people, but this is new to me, despite having a '99 bottle two years ago. Very interesting and really quite tasty. I wish they had another when I purchase so I could lay it down and experience aged N'Ice again.

Jan 2, 2003 This was my New Year’s Eve beer, served in a champagne glass of course. A pretty good way to end the year! Pours a dark reddish-brown with a medium thin light beige head. Lacing is pretty good. Aroma of herbs and berries. Flavor is a rich medley of fruit, alcohol and a little malt. Very good!
