Apr 25, 2006 Pours out a very nice brownish color with a medium sized lacing head. Aroma is of spice and some alcohol. Taste is sweet spicy fruit maybe some nutmeg citrus and some other spices. Very solid beer with a somewhat alcoholic finish

Feb 15, 2009 Bottle, Rainhall Drinks Co, Barnoldswixk.
Poured a good lookin’ dark ruby colour with a lively foamy beige head. Aroma was fruity with spice/herb notes. Interesting flavour with more different spices, caramel malt, thyme, curacao, licorice and quite a boozy kick. Pretty full bodied and creamy mouthfeel. Warming finish. An enjoyable one to share.

Dec 9, 2008 Pours a dark rusty copper with a huge tan head. High carbonation and a great aroma of Belgian yeast, light cocoa and oak, along with some dark fruits and spices. Almost chocolaty sweetness at first that turns into an overripe fruit flavor ending with a slightly hoppy, dry finish. I think the flavor is a little dominated by the finish but overall it’s a very full bodied beer with a lot of good flavor. No taste of the 10% ABV.

Dec 4, 2008 2007 edition. Pours dark brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma of bread, figs, and a touch of wine. Flavor is malty with a few vinous notes and finishes with a bunch of spice. A good beer overall, but the flavors arent quite as bold as I was hoping.

Feb 11, 2009 Bottle at a beer geek event at The Bruery in OC. A "n’ice" Belgian Strong Ale but not a standout. Cloudy copper color with a medium off-white head. Aroma of candi sugar, yeast, dark fruits, and spice. Flavor is lots of spices, candi sugar, raisin, date, and other dark fruits. Nice medium-full palate with some alcohol.

Oct 13, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Highly carbonated is light and tickling on the tongue, and I like to be tickled. Lots and lots of dark, sweet fruits in this. A absolute pleasure to drink, and that ABV is marvelous and obvious after a few sips.

Jan 24, 2009 Bottle that I got free from a co-worker whose husband got it as a secret santa gift and doesn’t like good beer. Score! Pours cloudy light brown with a thin off-white head. Yeasty aroma with spice and sweetness. Sweet flavor up front giving way to spice and hop with a candi sugar finish. Not a big fan of the style, but this was good.
