Near black colored with little beige head. Rich chocolaty aroma with grains, syrup and some raisinny-plummy sweetness, thin alcohol here too, I like this. Medium bodied. Flavor is more hopped with chocolate still dominating in start, roastiness and plums here too. Aftertaste dries with hops with roastiness, mild alcohol here. Maybe not in full balance with slightly thin body, still ok beer.

Draught at One Pint Pub, thanks TBone! Dark murky brown, tiny beige yet firm head. Nose is caraway, candi sugar, sweet rye bread, some roasty notes, very sweet and spicy. Flavor has lots of yeastiness, alcohol, cellar & caraway, roasty maltiness and little menthol in the finish. A bit stuffy and drier than the aroma, the sweetness would fit in here. Interesting if anything.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a bit of sediment floating around under a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and light noter notes of coffee and fruit, leading to a dry finish where the coffee note lingers.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of joergen/MiP/yespr. Pours a clear orangey brown with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and a little butter. Quite full-bodied, roasted malts, nuts and somewhat vinous. Lightly bitter and fairly alcoholic finish. 200309
