Nikolai Vehnä Lager

Can, local store. sweet malty aroma, flavour has hint of citrus, smooth. A nice lager.

500ml brought home from Kilpishalli in Finland. Very clear golden, heading towards amber, in body appearance. Mostly diminishing, off-white head. Smell of mid-sweet, grainy malts. The flavour is a mix of corn, malty acidity and earthy malts. A few bitter ending notes. Somewhat tame and flat. Drinkable and alright for the style (shared with Eva, Tromsø. 12.09.2009).

Can. Yellow colour. Sweet grainy bit fruity aroma. Flavour of grains, some fruit and malt.

Can, 4.5%. Perfumy aroma, almost soapy. clear golden colour. Almost no head. The flavour is a little sweet, also perfumy. Quite mild flavour. Not very exciting, but not unpleasant either.

Can 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear golden with an off-white head. Citrus and some perfumy accents in the nose. Medium body, sweet malts and fruit - probably has some added flavourings. Subdued bitterness. 220809

It’s warm golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, apple and other fruits. The flavor has a light sweetness and light notes of malt, apple and other fruit. The overall impression is a bit thin.

Bottle. Low white fluffy lasting head. Clear golden body. Weak malt honey aroma. Weak malt honey caramel flawith with little hops bitterness. Watery. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

Clear golden with a medium white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramelish and spicy notes. Flavour was sweet with malty and caramel notes. Finished mild bitter from the hops.
