Pours a medium semi-clear amber brew with a creamy off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and light white ring. Aroma of light raisins, a touch of honey, caramel malt, a touch of cloves and yeast. Taste is full bodied, light carbonation with flavors of light raisin, brown sugar, a touch of herbal spice, caramel malt and some toffee. Finish has a nice alcohol warmth with aftertaste flavors of light toffee, brown sugar and some raisin. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 5, 2008 Bottle. Odd aroma of sweeter malt and lightly grilled and salted ham. Honey ham actually. Pours bright copper with a nice sized white head. Sweeter toffee and caramel, grassy hops, that odd meat note, honey. Quite odd. Interesting, but nothing comes together all that well. Nice, soft texture with a mild bitter finish. This one didn’t do it so much for me. Aubrey (2777), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Light amber with a thin head. Rich, tingly and weighty mouthfeel was nice, but it kind of had cobwebs at times. Apple aromas. Honey-like sweetness at its base. Light spices and an herbal bitterness in the finish. Very similar to some meads I’ve had. beerinmarch (2810), Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Very enjoyable barleywine, not as over the top as some of the recent ones i’ve had lately, more towards the English style, more subtle on the hops, allowing the malts to be more delicate but still have the power to not be overwhelmed by aggressive hop bitterness. Toasted caramel malts that give a soft texture. Clove honey note towards the finish. Hops are spicy but mellow. A good easy to drink barleywine. bu11zeye (5510), Frisco, Texas, USA

Van te voren had ik even de beschrijving van de BarleyWine erbij gehaald. Je proeft amper hop. Davinci (296), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Completely translucent burnt orange pour with tiny white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy, some burnt sugars. flavor is caramally, roasty, some mild fruit with very little in the way of biterness... perhaps a touch in the end which melds with the roasty characteristics. Not bad overall. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
