Commercial Description:
Translation from website: "A beer with a strong, and obvious sweetness. Drink it now, or why not save it a couple of years? It will only improve with time."

This classic hearty ale started out a gold medal winner in the Swedish Homebrewing Championships in 1993, and went on to win gold in the World Beer Cup in 2000. A little something to see you through the longest darkest night.

Aroma of fruity caramel malts and alcohol. Some hints of hop and wine. Clear copper-amber coloured with a thin, lasting, off-white head. Taste is sweet, caramel malty. Bit an alcoholic burn in the aftertase. Lacking some balance and complexness. Unimpressive barley wine.

Bottle. Amber colour with a small head. Aroma of sweet fruits and hops. Delicious flavour of malts, hops & fruits. I’ve had different impressions of this beer but the last bottle (which I’m rating here) was awesome.

Amber coloured beverage with hardly any head. Very perfumed aroma almost like fortified wine or caramelised figs. Decent body but as bit light for a BW. Very accessible but could do with a bit more Kapow - possibly a nice bit of hoppiness would do the trick.

Dark hazy warm copper body, frothy ring of a light tan head. Malty JW Lees-type aroma. Sweet caramelly malt. Light hopped fruit. Odd light magic marker aftertaste a few minutes after my first sip. Its probably the alcohol with some bitterness. Basic sweetness with basic hops. But with some time comes a little vanilla and fruit which keeps it real. Kind of thin flavor overall. Descent blend of sweet and hops, but not uncommon.

Bottle. Head non-existant. Clear thin looking amber body. Astonishingly sweet and fruity aroma and flavor. Alcohol well hidden, I would never have guessed this percentage. A bit thin aftertaste though.
