Commercial Description:
Translation from website: "A beer with a strong, and obvious sweetness. Drink it now, or why not save it a couple of years? It will only improve with time."

This classic hearty ale started out a gold medal winner in the Swedish Homebrewing Championships in 1993, and went on to win gold in the World Beer Cup in 2000. A little something to see you through the longest darkest night.

Bottle (330ml). Clear pale amber with a small fizzy white head. Grassy, boozy and sweet aroma - like peach schnapps. Taste is nice and grainy, but very boozy, light dry herbal bitterness - the ripe peach / tropical fruit comes through strong. Sticky mouthfeel, average body, long somewhat overly boozy finish. A tad sweet, but a nice sipper.

Bottle. Deep amber body with a medium off-white head. Heavy malty aroma with lots of barley and fruity hops. Sweet malty flavour with hoppy notes as well as caramel and fruit. Not as heavy as many american barleys but still smooth and very tasty.

This orange/copper ale poured with a spotty thin beige head and  a fruity aroma. There is a sweet caramel malt flavor with some toffee and fruit tastes. Not very complex, but it’s fairly pleasant to drink.

Crushed with Jakebra. Wow, I thought the Uinta was the worst Barley Wine ever. But this one takes the cake. Thin as Calista Flockhart on a day when she hasn’t eaten her salad. Sweet nose of honey and…dunno. This is not a barley wine. This is what I pee after drinking a excellent barley wine. Just terrible.

Bottle. Orangish pour wtih a VERY small head. Aroma is very sweet with caramel malt, honey and fruity. Flavor is really rich and smooth...but very sweet. Honey, syrup, caramel, toffee, fruit and a tiny hint of hops to offer a bit of balance. Nice beer. I good sipper.

Creamy off-white head, copper colour, lacing, head diminidhes to a thin lid. Aroma of honey, alcohol, syrup. Flavour is vety light for being a barley wine, it is sweet, tastes of honey, jam, dark fruit, low bitterness. Mouthfeel is very smooth, small bubbles. R’This barley wine is dangerously easy to drink, and for a nice quiet evening I do like that it is not overpowering, for the right mood this is a great beer, even though this is not the most complex of it’s kind. Serving type: bottle This beer had been cellared for a year.

Bottled, BB May 2010. Poured limpid medium orange with slight legs on the sides of the glass and zero head. The aroma picked up some caramel supporting an array of medium-skinned fruits.. not bad, but definitely lacking some excitement factor. The flavor did a little more for me by adding pineapple and grassy hoppage to the caramel and fruity malts.. finished dry with some peppery warmth. Medium-bodied and dry with low carbonation on the palate.. balance was OK, but this didn’t do much to keep my attention.

Amber-brown in color. Quickly dying head thats leaves just wisps of foam, some lacing. Huge, sweet, caramelly nose. Full bodied, chewy, seems to thin out some past mid palate. Lots of malt sweetness, fruity notes, hops are evident and do balance, dries out nicely in finish but it leaves me waiting/wanting more out of it. But tasty nevertheless.
