Rerated on Sep 2, 2006. Bottle. Gone was the cardboard nose, making me fully appreciate the marriage betwewen toffee caramel and citrus, also in the flavours. Its highly drinkable ale, low in alcohol and body, yet still enjoyable. Original rating: Clear amber with a small head. Sweet caramel and fruity aroma, but also with notes of wet cardboard. Flavour is sweet caramel balanced by good bitterness. Citric and fruity hoppiness. Somewhat thin, medium carbonation. (5-3-6-3-10=2.7)

Red colored, no head. Sweet, caramelly, fruity and mildly hopped aroma, traditional and excellent Nils Oscar aroma. Medium bodied. Mild carbonation. Sweet berry flavor, ending is mildly hopped and dry. Mild metally skunkiness in aftertaste.

330 ml bottle. Pale golden. Lively carbonation which accentuates the hops. Some malty aroma with vague notes of hops. Grainy flavour, mostly dry, but some distant notes of sweetness from the malts. A really light beer that hangs together quite nicely. I would think that this beer would be great when unfiltered and served from cask.

(Bottle 33 cl) In this older version named "Nils Oscar No. 6 Ale". Light brown with a delicate, off-white head. Dry malty freshness and a solid, bitter finish. A lovely beer with a very high drinkability. 310700

Orange with brown tone. Fruity aroma with grassy, malty note. Some chocolate. Malty flavor with fruity, a bit roasted notes. Some cream and cinnamon rol notes. Low dry bitterness. This beer doesn´t really get the final lift

Bottled. Amber colour with a small white head. Nice aroma of hops, malts and fruit. Flavour is dominated by malts with notes of fruit and hops. Unfortunately the flavour is not as good as the aroma.

Bottled. Copper Brown, small white bubbly head. Malty and a bit burnt aroma. Wellbalanced taste with flavors of malt, fruity sweetness and a bit hoppy aftertaste. Good carbonation level.
