The beer feels light for a pale ale. However a growing herbal (spices?) flavor has appeared as I took the last drops. An interesting ale. Thanks Eructoblaster! | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 2, 2004 The small, beige foam dissolves quite quickly into a thin, smooth layer. The colour is clear, medium dark amber.
The major note in the smell is bitter malts and a slightly sour touch of hops. The smell is pretty mild.
The level of the carbonation is just right, but the small bubbles that tickles the mouth in an almost irritating way.
The taste starts with a sweet flavour that includes some diacetyl. The touch of walnuts evolves into a taut and almost plain bitterness with a gentle touch of cinnamon and canned vegetables.
I have heard a lot of good things regarding this ale, but I must admit that although I found it well made, it was surprisingly simple and a little... dull. Yes, one can say that I am a slightly disappointed. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark
