330 ml bottle. Slightly cloudy orange color, low off-white head. Hoppy aroma with a touch of tobacco. Bitter, fruity flavor with a malty finish and some caramel notes. Light body, medium carbonation. Pretty tasty and very drinkable.

Beautiful clear amber with a medium beige head that diminishes. Musty is a new word for me to use on a beer. but not at all negative. Strong malts especially the aftertaste and after aroma. caramel. lots of tobacco.. like a fresh FAT cigar. dry mouth leaving hops that stay a bit behind the back of the other flavors. buttery and fresh, but a bit watery finish. Quite full bodied. I’m giving a lot of respect to Nils Oscar... very interesting and complex beers

330 ml bottle. Golden body with a small white head. Aroma is nice and gentle malty with a hint of caramel and hops. Nice, balanced flavor. This is both really refreshing and tasty, I thing the strength of Nils Oscar is the lagers. Difficult to explain exactly what it is, it’s just a fine, refreshing, lager with a balanced flavor and bitterness.

Bottle. Brown color with an off-white head. Aroma: Exotic fruits, lightly roasted, earth, tobaco, perfume, licorice and some bitter hops. Flavor: Not as sweet as the aroma, roasted malt, nuts, tobaco, licorice, hops, and a bit of sweet fruit.

(Bottle from Systembolaget - when i return homeI saw that the bottle was marked Best Before nov 2007). Pours an amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma was very malty with notes of caramel. It also had some more mature notes of dried fruits. Very nice! Flavour had an unpleasant sourness to it with malty notes of caramel. The finish was some roasted malts and some bitterness. Flavourwise the bottle really had passed its best days - at the same time actually think that the ageing might have improved the aroma. I’ll try a more fresh bottle in the future.

Bottle at Orsted Olbar, May 2006. Pale copper colour. Touches of grassy hops in the aroma but dry malt predominates. Clean and easy drinking. I’m not sure quite what I expected from a "farm" ale, perhaps a bit of rustic saison-like quality but I didn’t really get that. Not unlike a BRitish best bitter really. Decent drinking but not very exciting.
