Bottle. Dark amber with beige head. Aroma of caramel, bread and malt along with some slight citric hops. Sweet, slightly burned malty flavour with notes of toffee and a fair hoppy input of freshness ending in a decent bitter finish. This is easily a very accessible beer and one that quenches ones thirst easily. A bit on the light side though.

Comments: Sweetish, perfumey, fruity, toasty and grainy ale that provides ample taste for its 4.2%, but remains no stunner.

[Sampled in 2004 at Jyske Øldage in Kolding.] Nice brew to be swallowed a lot. Quencing, but not outstanding!

(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehose No 68, Stockholm, 17 Nov 2007) Dark amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with dried fruit, apricots, grain, caramel and fresh hops. Grainy, slightly fruity taste with dried fruit, apricots and slightly cirtussy hops in the finish. Not very daring but nice and balanced pale ale.

Via trade from Svend. Poured a clear dark copper color with a scant white head. No lacing. The aroma was roasted malt with light hints of brown sugar and a bit of floral and pine hops were lazily resting in the background. The flavor was malt-forward with only a bit of floral hops in there to dry it out and define the finish. The mouthfeel was of a thin bodied, easy drinking pale ale. Seemed like it had potential. Think this might show a lot more character from a fresh tap. Thanks again!

grassy, earthy, bitter and a bit nasty. Nothing more to say, this went almost straight down the drain. Dissapointing

Bottle at Grande Hotel Stockholm ... Nice copper colour ... packed full of ovaltine malts in the nose ... Malty fruit ... light fizz ... little tart ... soft hops .... with a malty bitter linger ... and grapefruit hop quench.

Aroma of toffee and dark bread. Thin on the palate with flavour of some food I can’t recall or pinpoint. Touch of hops to the finish.
