goozen (812), Leiden, Netherlands Aug 22, 2007 Bottle: Total black imperial swedish stout, very roasted taste and well balanced bitterness.
cheeta (651), Langå, Denmark Nov 29, 2008 Locorice and dark chocolate aroma. Large creamy light brown head. Excellent lacing. Mostly lasting longevity. Clear amber body. Heavy sweet flavor with a tast of dark chocolate, and a long finish duration. Medium to full palate Good creamy texture. drfabulous (803), Columbia, Missouri, USA Nov 27, 2008 Tons of roast in the nose. Incredible roast in the taste. Coffee. Darkness. All the flavors an Imperial Stout requires. Very nice. Could use a bit more body. shigadeyo (1500), Southwest Ohio Area, Alabama, USA Nov 21, 2008
3/18/2008: Nils Oscar Imperial Stout pours a clear, ruby/chocolate brown color with a thin, bubbly head. The aroma of coffee and chocolate is good, but not overly rich or deep. Black coffee, milk chocolate (lactose-like), and artificial sweetness are present in the flavor. There fruity notes in the middle and it finishes sweet and roasty with hints of char. No alcohol can be tasted. This beer is medium-bodied but seems really thin. It definitely needs some more heft to the body to match all of the dark, roasty flavors of the style!

11.2 fl. oz. bottle (7.0% Alc/Vol; 5.49+tax from River’s Bend Wine and Spirits) shared by Rob. Thanks Rob! Rating #379 for this beer.
Cobra (1041), In the snake pit, Maryland, USA Nov 21, 2008 I must have gotten a bad bottle, based on other reviews of this beer. It was flat, lifeless, tasted like wood ash & burnt celery. Total drain pour.
Maybe I’ll rate it again, then again, maybe not. KingpinIPA (832), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 18, 2008 Dark color. Smell of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, hops, malt, dark fruit and minor spice. Taste of the same but very rich. Very solid. Very nice impy stout.
