English hop character. Bitter and a lack of sweetness, which means this is all about the hops with light malt. Thin to medium palate, and no complexity. Only mild hop bitterness. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Copper color with no head. Earthy and Noble hop aroma. Very dry body with a strong, earthy bitterness. Dry malt. Very much an English-style IPA, and a good one at that. Skyview (4076), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Sampled via 11-oz bottle at joebrew’s weekly beer tasting at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, Minnesota. Pours a clear amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of citrus and caramel malt, with a touch of pineapple. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of sweet citrus zest, a touch of multi-grain biscuits, and roasted nuts. Finish is simply bitter and grapefruity character that lingers after the finish. beerbrat99 (119), Portland, Oregon, USA

Off-white head with minimal lacing. Aroma of orange, pineapple and perfume. Flavor of pineapple, apples and biscuity malt. Medium body with some residual sweetness. A decent Swedish interpretation of an American IPA. thornecb (1804), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Wow, cool bottle from slob! Nutty cashew hop nose with notes of peanut, bread crust and cedar wood, mixed in with a bit of honey and fruit. Nutty flavor, with an almost bell pepper vegetable flavor over the middle. Mellow but still a bit bitter, clean overall, but the nuttiness isn’t the best thing to present in an IPA. Not bad overall, though. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA
