Commercial Description:

Citrus fruits and piny hops in aroma. Flavor is dry, a bit toffeish-malty, citrusy and fresh pine hoppy. Nice bitterness in aftertaste, but could be more bitter.

Bottle, got from Phil L’s Cave Direct Beer Merchants consumed 02-09-08 Pours amber, once again like its stablemate this pours with great clarity. Aroma is slight pine needles but with a slight aged quality not really fresh or zappy. Taste is initially soft but the bitterness bites through, finishing quite dry, hops show but not agressively blending very well with the malts. A simple well done IPA not exciting but tasty all the same.

11.2oz bottle-pours a thin off white head and amber color. Aroma is citrus/perfumy, secondary medium malt. Taste is balanced citrus/perfumy/pine hops-some bitter, secondary medium malt-caramel. Finishes with some tannins? Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for picking this out.

Bottle. Huge caramel nose with strong pineapple hops, sweet with light lychee, grass, and orange rind. Pine/spruce/juniper as a mild highlight. Pours ruby-amber with a short beige head. Taste is sharply bitter at first, but that is soon forgotten as it goes through a soapy phase and is warmed by rich fruity esters and a citrus sledgehammer. Lighter caramel with bg grass and faint earth. Light body begins dry, sweetens, and then dries out again for the soap-tinged aftertaste. Extremely, extremely soft mouthfeel is just lovely. Some nice mustiness, but its not Fuggly, and I didn’t know this could be gotten from Amarillo. Lightly prickling pine and juniper needles. Refreshing and playful, and I don’t think I really got the nuance until about 6 oz into the bottle. No trace of alcohol, and it seems this would make a rather fine session!

Interesting hop aroma, dare I say I bit smoky or spicy? The mouthfeel is soft, the caramelly taste very pleasant in case you need a solid session beer. Not as extreme as many examples of the style but certainly an interesting and good ipa.

bottle 330ml from Alko EXP 04/08 forgot to home cellar... light brown transparent creamy head scent:pine hops Taste: sharp pine grapefruity hops fizzy hints of sweetness but this piney hops kicks over it.might turned bit aggressive hoppy. I tasted one bottle on springtime and it was an easier experience. An easy beer is not my target.

Clear amber with a decent off-white head. Hoppy aroma, citrus and pine. Some caramel and metal. Taste is also hoppy with citrus and pine, high bitterness and long lasting aftertaste.
