Decent looking beer with the kind of pale orange body and fluffy head you’d expect for the style. I didn’t get much of the astringency in the nose that Ethan noted but the bready malts were fairly bland to me and the hops were very understated. Pretty anonymous beer, actually. emacgee (1884), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

Pours a copper orange with a one finger creamy orange head. The nose smells really astringent and bitter, really upront hops, a bit grainy, and lightly sweet. Taste is very bitter, sweet, has a cardboard/corn oxidation feel. Generally agreed upon to be not very good. Really waxy and biting palate. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 17, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a small off white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, floral, peach and grapefruit. Flavor is grapefruit, orange, floral and a nice caramel backbone. Light to medium body, sticky texture. I really liked this one, a tasty IPA that doesn’t have to be "over the top" to be good. OldMrCrow (1192), Seattle, Washington, USA

Quite a drinkable, mellow IPA. Well balanced, very fruity, not at all resinous or aggressive but more than enough hop flavor to qualify as a nice IPA. I thought it a was really enjoyable shift from the great west coast ones I’ve been drinking lately. BückDich (4848), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2008 Bottle: Pours a copper color with a light head and no sticky lacing. The nose is doughy with a rich malty sweetness and a citrus cascade hop note. Nice fruity tropical notes along with some orange and juicy amarillo notes. The flavor is balanced with a rich maltiness and a smooth underlying bitterness. The finish is well rounded; I’m actually really surprised how good this is for a non-american IPA. Juicy! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Bought at Visby Systembolaget in Sweden. Orange on the label.
Pours a bright orange copper--matching the orange on the label--that’s almost the colour of orange soda. 1 cm of cream-coloured foam that leaves beautiful lacing all the way down the glass.
The aroma is hop-heavy, as it should be, with citrus, flowers, a bit of mango, and copper pipe.
The mouthfeel is well-carbonated, but slightly watery.
The taste is quite hoppy and bitter (it’s not really powerful, but it’s as it should be). A slight sweetness suggesting a red winegum is present. The aftertaste is like sucking on a couple pennies.
A great IPA. Oscar Nils is clearly a pretty good brewery. punainen6 (93), Finland
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 25, 2008 33cl bottle pours as red amber with a white head, smells of hops citrus and pine. Mouthfeel is quite carbonated. Tastes of hops, butter and sweet toffee. Not really my favorite, abit too bitter and sweet. Pinball (2861), Allerød, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 20, 2008 nice bittersweet aroma. clear yellow, small white head. sweet and bitter like a pale ale, but it´s not very powerfull. might be the alc%. too much "ordinary" beer in the taste. But very good. Very drinkable. And "stronger" than the 5.3% alc. indicates.
