Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 6, 2005 [At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] An orange beer with a beige head. The aroma is totally dominated by hops, while the flavor besides hops contains notes of caramel, and straw and has a dry end, but the body is somewhat thin. British in its interpretation of IPA. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 14, 2005 Cask at Akkurat. Hazy pale amber. Fruity nose with notes of something that reminds me of juniper/smoke. Richly hoppy, grassy and orangey. Complex flavourwise with wonderfully soft mouthfeel. Firm, yet loght bodied with notes of bread and cookies. Lingering bitter finish. Well balanced and excellently crafted. Papsoe (10510), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 11, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear amber with a creamy, white head leaving laces. Fantastic, fat - yet fresh - hop aroma fra the Amarillo. Rather full and rich body with sweetish caramel malt and a somewhat unusual lightly smoked edge. The finish is not overly bitter. A good example of a nice, flavoursome - yet not too heavy - IPA. 090706 yespr (6944), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 13, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours deep orange with a light off-white head. Citrus fruity aroma, slight caramel malty. Quite fruity flavour, followed by a mild malt note ending mellow bitter and slight dry in the finish. Nice. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 16, 2005 Bottled.
Clear amber coloured with a small off white head.
Aroma of malts, hops and pine needles.
Flavour of pine needles, malts and hops.
Tastes more like a (thin) american pale ale than an IPA.
Disappointing.
