pilsnerrogge (1589), Finspång, Sweden Oct 27, 2005 Amber colour. The head could’ve looked better. Hoppy aroma of orange peels and a little bit of liquorice. Fruity flavour of dried apricots and pineapple. The bitter finish lasts forever. MrWalker (928), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 15, 2005 Cask @ Akkurat, Stockholm Hazy orange with a persistent head. Flowery green hop aroma. Full body. Well balanced sweet maltiness initially that develops into a massive flowery hop character. Nice creamy palate. Clean and bitter. Pull me another one please! gnoff (2586), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 8, 2006 Updated: May 9, 2006Draught at The Rover in Gothenburg, Sweden. First time I try it from the tap, even though I’ve had it on bottle several times. I find it similar to the bottled version, though my previous ratings might have been a bit too high. (see below). Deep amber color. Light beige creamy lasting head. Lots of fresh hoppy scent of citrus. Big bitterness initally, fruity aftertaste and faint lingering bitterness. Larger than medium mouthfeel. Nice refreshing citrus hops in the taste, no distinct malt taste.
Bottle some time in 2005 Very nice scent and taste, as well as huge bitterness. Lots and lots of hoppy acid scent and smell. Realy taste of American hops. I like it! The aroma was oranges with pineapple and a little bit of fresh caramel. The taste had some bitter grapefruit with a hint of mango. There was also som elight tea. A dry finish capped off the creamy and smooth body. A very solid beer. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 14, 2005 Cask at Akkurat. Hazy pale amber. Fruity nose with notes of something that reminds me of juniper/smoke. Richly hoppy, grassy and orangey. Complex flavourwise with wonderfully soft mouthfeel. Firm, yet loght bodied with notes of bread and cookies. Lingering bitter finish. Well balanced and excellently crafted.
