emacgee (1010), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jul 20, 2008 Shared at the Carolina Crew Tasting by Oldstylecubfan. Pours a copper orange with a one finger creamy orange head. The nose smells really astringent and bitter, really upront hops, a bit grainy, and lightly sweet. Taste is very bitter, sweet, has a cardboard/corn oxidation feel. Generally agreed upon to be not very good. Really waxy and biting palate.
Mitch_Wayne (77), Kokkola, Finland Aug 20, 2008 Interesting hop aroma, dare I say I bit smoky or spicy? The mouthfeel is soft, the caramelly taste very pleasant in case you need a solid session beer. Not as extreme as many examples of the style but certainly an interesting and good ipa. mirjukka (316), LOHJA, Finland Aug 13, 2008 bottle 330ml from Alko EXP 04/08 forgot to home cellar...
light brown transparent creamy head scent:pine hops
Taste: sharp pine grapefruity hops fizzy hints of sweetness but this piney hops kicks over it.might turned bit aggressive hoppy. I tasted one bottle on springtime and it was an easier experience. An easy beer is not my target. tomthompson89 (1100), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2008 golden brown decent creamy head, nose is big hops sweet fruits citrus and again pine. flavor is hoppy as well but it does get a little more malty as it warms very nice. deft (56), Sweden Jul 29, 2008 Clear amber with a decent off-white head. Hoppy aroma, citrus and pine. Some caramel and metal. Taste is also hoppy with citrus and pine, high bitterness and long lasting aftertaste. Archibaldo de la Cruz (59), Finland Jul 28, 2008 Copper colour with a lasting small head. The aroma is quite fruity and hoppy. The flavour is malty, citrus and hops. Medium-bodied with a long, bitter and dry aftertaste. There is something in the aftertaste that I didn’t like, but on overall it’s quite good.
