| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2003 Not much of an aroma. Dark color, opaque, reddish brown no head. Flavor is grassy and sweet. Not much like any Belgian Strong Ale, but heck I liked anyway. Nils Oscar hops are slightly different than any one elses that I had. The more I have beers with them the more I like them. Medium bodied and sweet finish. Thanks Per! legion242 (1585), Richardson, Texas, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2003 Burgundy color. Winey, yeasty aroma with some alcohol kick. A well made double, lots of raisin and alcohol...nothing special about this beer, but I liked it a lot for some reason...I think it went down smoothly yet still had a great, full flavor.
