Bottled: Dark amber coloured. Clear. Beige medium sized head. Alcahol, fruit, sweetness, marzipan, cinnamon and other spices in the aroma. Chocolate, spices, sweetness and some fruits in the aroma. Has a light alcaholtouch on the lips in the end. Very good one.

Bottled (huge thanks to omhper!). Ruby red colour, small off-white head. Plum, raisins, alcohol, some marzipan and caramel malts in aroma. Flavour is plum, raisins, spices, caramel malts, toffee and some hints of yeast. A very wellbalanced and wellaged beer.

Bottled. Dark amber colour. Hm, Swedish X-mas again already in one bottle: Prune, Fig, juniper, ginger, anise, small notes of chocolate. Wonderful!

Shared with a good friend on New Years Eve, he’s saved it for lots of years, now he shares it with me so I could rate it :)
Best Before Jan 06
Clear dark red brown color, tan head. Strong alcohol and acidic dark malt scent. Belgian ale yeast smell when swirled. Nice smooth sweet taste with some chocolate and dark malts aftertaste. No obvious alcohol taste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness. Warming alcohol gut feeling. The taste is like heaven, a great beer!

A clear brown beer with a small disappearing brown head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of prunes, raisins, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of prunes, brown sugar, and alcohol.

(sampled draught at Stockholm Beer Festival) Clear reddish amber, small thin white head. Vinous and peppery aroma with notes of cherries, almonds, figs and licorice. Small notes of red currant and citrus peels. Semi dry flavour of dried fruit, port, x-mas spices, black cherries, pepper and licorice. Long peppery and malty finish with a small alko kick.

Bottled (BB 01/2006, vintage 2000 sampled in April 2007)
Red ruby color, small off-white head. Toasted malts, berries, hints of alcohol and prunes. Ageing has made palate very smooth and creamy, almost liquer-like. Alcohol is almost non-existent. I can trace flavors of chocolate, vanilla, prunes and fudge. Sweetish aftertaste. This beer has aged great, absolutely fabulous vintage of NO Julöl.

Keg @ Stockholm Beer Festival
Keg matured since 2000. Vineous and still head forming. Got quite a bit of toffee and red berries in combination in the taste. Interresting. Still a bit alco sweet.
