A hazy brown beer with a disappearing light brown head. The aroma is sweet and quite spicy. The flavor is malty with caramel being most dominant, but also quite spicy.

Sampled draught at Stockholm Beer Festival.
Deep red. Still young and a bit raw. Generous on both hops and malt. Soft mouthfeel, notes of grapefruit. Could also be described as an American strong ale, but the brewers prefers the old ale label.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized head. Aroma is malty, alcoholic and plummy. Flavour is malts, alcohol, dark fruit and some weak bready hints are also there. Pleasant one. Nice and quite full palate.

Red colour with a small beige head. Nice sweet malty flavour with notes of spices and caramel. Sweet malty flvour with notes of liquorice and spices. Not much bitterness.

Hazy dark amber color; poor head. Malty aroma, with caramel; a bit woody and sour, very light spices (nutmeg?). Malty taste, a bit dry or not yet fully mature, in which the caramel dominates, with a hint of liquorice and smoked malt; not really complex. Long final, bold bitterness.

Bottled vintage 2004 (Pikkulintu)
Dark ruby color, small white head. Caramelly, vanilla aroma, prunes, some "vintage" notes. Thin palate. Caramelly, vanilla flavor. Dark fruits too. Tasty dessert beer. Not gone bad, but maybe body has developed a bit too thin.

Bottle. [thank you, hildigöltur]
Hazy dark amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Stays as a thin film. Sweet caramel aroma, light dried fruit, nuts, figs. Medium carbonation, lovely dry mouthfeel with a slight prickliness. Lovely chocolate flavour, fig, dry hops, nuts, port notes. Not particularly sweet, yet there is some sugar notes. Lovely

Reddish brown body covered by a light off-white crown. Malty, yeasty nose reminds me of a grain salad though it is also pretty earthy. Apples and grapefruit undertones, low hop level. It feels pretty simple on the palate, malt feels light, it’s mostly earthy and vegetal. Light bodied, a bit flat, doesn’t feel complete. Thanks Per!
