Dec 24, 2006 500ml bottle bought at Ølbutikken in Copenhagen in early Dec.05. Pours a deep and clear copper brown coloured body. Missing head. An aroma of malts and black berries can be stired up. Taste of malty sweetness and grain overlaid by a watered vinous mouthfeel. Vague hints of yeast and alcohol can be spotted in a short aftertaste. A bit like a very light barley wine. Overall not sufficient for a strong Yuletide beverage. The 2001/02 vintage had a much better xmas touch (23.12.2006).

Dec 3, 2006 Bottle, 7.0%, 1 year old. There is a little aroma hoppiness along with some pepper. Clear brown colour, small head. Very dusty aftertaste, creamy and nice. Creamy mouthfeel. Really good.

Nov 7, 2006 Bottled from Olbutikken. Pours clear dark amber with a small white head. Fruity sweet, but also old and musky aroma, nuts and caramel also come through. Sweet mouthful, cinnamon, dried apricot and old wood in the flavour, almost tastes like its had its best days. Nutty warming finish, and not bad by any means.

Nov 4, 2006 Bottled, Svenska Dagar, Pikkulintu, Finland. Piqante aroma with oat, tobacco, ginger and pickled cucumber. Hazy red colour, small head (probably because it’s been still for a year now). Clear oat and malt in the taste. Cough medicine comes to mind, which isn’t necessarily a good thing =)

Oct 21, 2006 Bottle. Quite sweet. Caramel and toffee sweetness, with a dark fruit character. Subtle spicy characters towards the end. Certainly tastes and feels Christmasy, but its probably a touch too sweet for me.

Sep 26, 2006 Bottled. Pours clear dark amber coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Malty and sweet with notes of dark fruit and a hint of caramel. A bit alcoholic.
