(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, dark amber golden with an off-white head. Sweet aroma of overripe fruit. Fairly alcoholic aroma. Rich, full body with lots of fruity accents - apricot and noble rot. Almost no bitterness. Quite a sophisticated and pleasant beer. 260806

[Bottle RBESG] Unfortunatly my notes for this beer simply state "A massive chrome sphere", however from memory, this is sweet, spicey and toffeeish, full bodied, with a dry, spicey finish.

RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. Lovely aroma of sherry and Christmas spices. Flavour is also spicy and vinous, fairly sweet.

First rating
Bottle at Christmas 2005.
Dark color, small head. Malty scent with alcohol in it. Not enough spices for my taste as being a Christmas beer. Taste is pretty alcoholic as well. I like several of the other beers from this brewery much better.

(50 cl bottle, thanks larsniclas!)
Clear dark brown color, tan to light brown head. Chocolate, malty and grainy scent. Rich malty a bit smoke taste. Full mouthfeel, alcohol aftertaste. Medium bitterness.
This one aged to my liking! What an amazing difference compared to when it was fresh!

(Bottled) Colour is brown, with a hint of amber, little head. Nose is big, roasted and fruity, with lots of malt and dried fruit. Taste is roasted, dominated by dark chocolate, toffee and dried fruit. Sweet and a bit syrupy. Hops are evident in the finish, but the malt, chocolate and fruit dominate. Very nice! But wasn’t this even better a couple of years ago?

Sampled from draught at Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2005.
Foamy off-white head, light clear amber colored body. Sweet malt and light spicy aroma. Notes of fruit and berries and a dusty tone. Sweet malt, berry and toffee flavor with aherby note. Soft and easy drinkable with dark Belgian ale characters. I like it.

Draught at The Bishops Arms, Gothenburg, Sweden. Amber, thick beige head. Complex aroma and flavour; figs, raisins, citrus, pomerance, christmas-spicies. Very sweet, almost sugary.
