clear medium brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, coffee - cacao dysty, spicy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081230]

Mar 17, 2009 Lovely big aroma with fruits and caramel. Tastes malty with caramel and dried fruits. A big beer, one of the (if not the) best of swedish chrismas beers.

Mar 16, 2009 Dark with beige head. Nice darak sugar, caramel, dried fruits. Impressive malts. A bit dry aftertaste. Note: I tried this in March, maybe it has matured a bit.

Feb 16, 2009 Very dark ruby ith a small off-white head. Aroma of dark sugar, caramelly malt, dried fruits, and a hint of diacetyl. Rich malt clearly dominates. Dry and malty flavour probably the ultimate companion for Scandinavian Christmas foods.

Jan 25, 2009 [Bottle from Radby Brugsen 50 % discount sampled at CMO-eve.] Almost no aroma compared to the massive amount of flavor notes of coffee, some smoke, belgo strong ale notes (although it is a scotch ale), but a great one different from others x-mas beers.

Jan 19, 2009 A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s pre NYE tasting. Dark cloudy brown with a thin but lasting beige head. An attractive beer. Very fruity with some light hoppage. A little too raw on the malt but the lovely fruity and smoky finish brings it right back on track. Pretty good stuff.

Jan 17, 2009 50 cl bottle from Systembolaget. BB Oct 2014. On January 16, 2009. Clear dark red color, small tan head. Scent is smoke, boiled dry rice, burnt pop-corn, vegetables. Taste is sweet, sugary, green peppers, roasted, smoke, alcohol, burnt pop-corn. Aftertaste is alcohol and sugary sweet with green peppers. Medium to thin mouthfeel, low bitterness. Not to my liking.
