| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Bottle, bought @ SuperBrugsen Bramdrupdam. Pours a depp dark red-ish brown with a small, slightly fizzy off white head that lasts only a short time. Aroma is deep with lots of burnt caramel, herbs, liqourice and slight spices. Lively but full mouthfeel. Flavour is powerful, with a good roasted caramel edge to it. Some smokyness and a good background of chocolate balanced nicely with Christmas spices that are very well subdued. ChristianScheffel (4632), Odense, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Clear dark amber beer with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is indeed a little strange, something roasted, toasted, fruity... perhaps dry roasted lemon peel would be like this? The flavour comes together much better. Roasted and dry, slightly astringent malt.
