Bottle, bought @ SuperBrugsen Bramdrupdam. Pours a depp dark red-ish brown with a small, slightly fizzy off white head that lasts only a short time. Aroma is deep with lots of burnt caramel, herbs, liqourice and slight spices. Lively but full mouthfeel. Flavour is powerful, with a good roasted caramel edge to it. Some smokyness and a good background of chocolate balanced nicely with Christmas spices that are very well subdued.

Clear dark amber beer with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is indeed a little strange, something roasted, toasted, fruity... perhaps dry roasted lemon peel would be like this? The flavour comes together much better. Roasted and dry, slightly astringent malt.

Bottle. Pours a nice orange-brownish colour with a medium well lasting beige head. Soft aroma of roasted malt, some spices and dark fruits. The flavour has a soft toasty maltiness, some dark fruits and spices, caramel and hops. Roastish bitter finish with a slight citrus touch. A good Christmas brew but the Julöl is better though.

Bottle. A bit hazy body, golden-orange color, and with a beige head. There’s a strange aroma with caramel and fruits, put I couldn’t pin it. The flavor is more pleasant, with caramel, hops, roasted malt and a little grainy note. Medium, quite sticky mouthfeel, and a grainy and fruity finish. I had some expectations for this one, but they weren’t fullfilled. I found it a bit strange, certainly drinkable, but not too successful. (070705)

Light orange with a beige head. Citric peel and salt in aroma. Fruity and salty tones. Medium to light body with a metallic finish. Quite a disappointment.

Clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is pretty malty, lots of grainy, toasty notes. Flavour is a little sweet, lots more bready, toasty things as well as some greenish citric hops. Doesn’t really scream "Swedish christmas" to me, but it ticks the boxes for a decent beer... something that Nils Oscar seem to have down pat.

Bottle. Dark amber colour with a medium creamy off-white head. Malty aroma profile with dried fruits and dark bread, and spicy hops. Good balance with a delicate sweetness which is overtaken by a spcy bitter finish.
