Commercial Description:
This beer has its orgin in the Bavarian beer type ’festbier’ or ’oktoberfestbier’. Like ’festbier’ and ’vienna style beer’, Nils Oscar Kalasöl is of a somewhat darker type. The Nils Oscar Kalasöl is produced with both münchenermalt, dark caramelmalt, chocolatmalt and some roasted barley. The choice of hops is a mix of four kinds where the most characteristic are brittish fuggles, american cascade and czech saaz.
Kalasöl is a rounded beer with a mildly roasted breadish character. It can be recommended together with heavy foods, like joints of roast meat, spicy stews, broiled meat and fowl.

Bottle 330 ml
Appearance: Neat shade of amber, medium light white ring .
Nose : Slightly nutty paired with sweet rich malts , rye bread . Pleasantly well exposed to taster. Light zesty hops on side…7+
Flavor/Palate : Medium light bodied soft in character nutty , hazelnuts like theme . Light , refreshing and very drinkable. Subtle quality is apparent. Satisfying old school.

Aroma has chocolate? roasted malt, some fine hops too, copper, with a small toffee head. Flavour is a very rich malt, some good hops backing, and again chocolate is noted.Medium bodied, quite well balanced, a treat on the tongue. Terrific!

Dark copper colored body with a thin, white head. The aroma is rich with caramel and fall leaves. There is also some pie crust and toasted notes. The taste is toasted almonds with some earthy orange peels. There is also some hints of raisins. Farily highly carboanted. A nicely made beer.

330ml bottle, blue cap. Pours clear, deep copper color, thin white rocky head. Big rye aromas. Smells of floral, grassy hops as well. Flavor of spicy rye malt. Balanced very well with a pleasant sharp hop bitterness. Very well rounded lager.

From a bottle--Poured a burnt copper body wtih some amber tones. Nose of sticky, sweet hops and malts. Floral and crisp. The flavor revealed the roasty rye and some gritty malts. Very nice beer.

Amber with a fine head. Perfumed and bitter aroma with a very nice flavour of orange, caramel and bread. It is extremely refreshing and by far one of the best viennas I have ever tried.
