| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 30, 2007 Deep amber with rust red hues, sparse microscopic carbonation holds up a wispy, bubble-clustered off-white head. the body is crystalline and sullen. The nose is a rolling stew of caramelized breadcrumbs and grains with soft sugars and air-dried apples. Awkward tropical fruit esters are noteworthy. Breadiness is rustic and encompasses all other nuances in a rigid coccoon. The flavor is moderately bitter and lightly astringent, the grassy hops playing a pleasant role of spicing and livening things up a good deal. Sweetness is medium and thoroughly enjoyable, even as it gains momentum into the grassy, mildly bitter and toasty finish. The mouthfeel is lightly and evenly carbonated, very lightly sticky and prickly and is very easy to drink. A very good interpretation of a style that is very difficult to create a memorable version of. TheCheeseMan (539), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA

Very malty and grainy, with a hint of spiciness, I am guessing that is from the rye. Slight hop component on the finish. Immenently drinkable. turbothy (722), Bonn, Germany
