| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 22, 2005 Bottle. The colour is red-brown; the head is large, airy, firm and beige.
The complex smell got a fine flavour of aroma hops (Fuggles? Challenger?), a touch of malt, some bitterness and a sweet note.
The carbonation is both refreshing and gentle.
The taste is first hoppy with a touch of Madeira, and then it develops into a full-bodied taste with a mild bitterness and a sour-earthy touch. The aftertaste is long and balanced with some earthy notes.
The best beer from Nils Oscars I have reviewed so far: A well-crafted, complex and musty vienna lager

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 20, 2004 Fine foamy tan head on an amber reddish body. Hoppy and yeasty aroma with spices (pepper) in the background. Flavors are roasted malt and plenty of hops with some nice spices and toffee notes. Quite thin finish. Another very nice and tasty beer from Nils Oscar! Ungstrup (15436), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 12, 2004 A red beer with a beutiful white head. The aroma is very hoppy with notes of roasted bread. The flavor is acidic hoppy with notes of grass, roasted bread, caramel, and a very dry and hoppy bitter end. This is very hoppy for being a Vienna, leans more towards an IPA. But it is a very nice brew. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark
