Commercial Description:

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Very rubyish coppery colour, medium beige head. Aroma is bisquits, bready as well as mild toasted wooden notes. Also mild chocolate. Quite fruiy hoppy as well. No distictive NS hop noted. Flavour is caramel malts, wood, grass, some biscuits as well as some quite earthy notes.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white head. Sweetish aroma of burned caramel, nuts and overripe fruit. Medium body, overripe fruit and caramel with some aroma hops in the finish. Almost a baby Barley Wine. 090609

Aroma of slightly burnt caramel. Not bad at all but since I’m not keen on the sweet stuff in general not very exciting. Initially malty body thinning out somewhat to reveal slight fruitiness – chocolate orange even – and leaving a touch of hops to lift things up. Rather pleasant if not very exciting.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Hoppy, pinewood and roasted malt aroma. Dry malt flavoured, light roasted and subdued spiced. Lasting bitter and roasted flavours into a dry and light spiced finish. Smooth pinewood hops with a hint of liqourice.

Flaske 0,33 l fra Systembolaget i Kiruna. Brun på farge. Lav skumdannelse. Fruktig aroma dominert av appelsin. Aromaen fortsetter i smaken men her kommer det inn mer frukt og litt malt. Bitterheten kommer sigende på etterhvert med islett av karamell. Godt øl - men ingen tørsteslukker: Mer et koseøl. KI=9

Bottled:
Appearance: Dark reddish brown, dense head.
Aroma: Roasted malt, dark berries, hops in the background.
Flavour: Roasted (almost smoked or even peaty) malt. Bitter finish.
Palate: Harsh mouth feel..
Overall: Nils Oscar didn’t quite deliver this time. I want the old Kalaspåsköl back!

330 ml bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Stable, fingerthick beige head. Dark red, brown shaded color with a brilliant clarity. Nutty, slight peppery caramellish malts in the aroma. Rich, sourish-sweet, lightly toasted malt flavor. Mildly spiced, generously hopped. A note of dark dried fruits. Healthy body. Lingering bitterness and spiced dark malts in the finish. A pretty good beer.

Bottle at the RBJG. Pretty red-orange color: glowing and clear, with lace. Dry, slightly fruity malt aroma, with caramel, cherry, and a bit of hops. Smooth, rich caramel flavor—great malts. Complex cereal flavor, with some cherry. Very original and interesting. Good hoppy finish.
