Commercial Description:

As "Nils Oscar Vår Ale" on Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg. In late April, 2009
Clear dark brown color, fluffy tan head. Spicy and herbal hoppy scent. Nice herbal hoppy taste as well as a dry grainy maltiness. Medium mouthfeel, rather high bitterness. Well balanced and very nice.

Bottle (50 cl). Poured a clear dark golden colour with a small foam. It tasted of bread, caramel and a hint of burned toast and metal. Was pretty boring with low taste and smell.

Bottled. Pours out in a clear reddish amber colour with a low firm off-white foam. Toasted malts, caramel, prunes and spicy hops in the aroma. Medium-bodied with touches of caramel, toasted bread, cookies with spicy and lemony hops. Medium-bitter finish of spices and mild lemon with notes of burnt caramel and bread crusts.

Bottle. Amber body. Gegie head. Good lazing on the glass. Just when I feel the aroma of this brew I see this is an Oscar. It has something typical to it. It´s the special malt. Aroma is earthy, bready, malty and wood. Flavor has malt, wood, and little smoke. Low sweetnes. Medium palate. Little dry.

Bottle at home. Clear orange coloured with a medium sized lacing off white head. Fruity aroma of caramel, hay, liquorice, hops and grass. Fruity flavour of caramel, hops and grass with notes of pine needles. Hoppy finish.

Bottle from Systembolaget, Umeå. Attractive dark amber colour with a rush of sweet malty caramel and spicy fruits. Unfortunately too sweet for my tooth and a touch sickly.
